Pre-Course Surveys: getting to know your students
Consider surveying students both before class begins. This helps you…
- identify prerequisite knowledge and skills
- anticipate learning barriers to help adjust teaching practices where appropriate
- create a culture of where participation and feedback is invited and valued
Provide anonymous or asynchronous options for feedback, and you provide more chance for student success. You can also survey students regularly throughout the course.
