Choosing a Course Home Page
Faculty at Lasell generally use one of two options for their home page:
- Uploading a syllabus to Canvas for a forward-facing welcome with images, text, links, and resources
- Building a course orientation module in Canvas to get students started in the modules right away
Whichever option, the home page should describe the course's goals, objectives, and other essential learning information. It should also preview the course structure and include links to other necessary course materials (e.g., textbooks, reading lists, pre-course surveys, and a downloadable copy of the syllabus).
