Abstract: Professor Raye’s Advanced Domestic Violence Directed Study students are hosting a Title 9 training on 12/6 at 3pm in de Witt Hall. This interactive, trauma-informed and student-led training focuses on Consent, Boundaries, and Active Bystander Awareness and is the same training required for all athletes here at Lasell per NCAA guidelines.  In their evaluations, nearly all the athletes recommend that “everyone” receive this training so we decided to offer it to the broader Lasell community.

As students, we helped to write, edit and then get to teach this training in a peer to peer framework to help our students understand consent, boundaries and how to step up as an active bystander when others need help.  We work hard to make it fun, educational and trauma informed with support folks outside and a variety of fidget toys to help ground participants.  We are excited to offer this training to the whole Lasell community, including staff, faculty and anyone interested in attending.  Please let your classes, clubs, and other groups know about this Title IX training.  All are welcome!
