Abstract: Voluntourism is a term often used to ignore or blur the line drawn between service work and tourism. So what does service learning really look like, and how can it be beneficial for everyone involved? This video reflection containing clips of my peers and my own experience traveling to Antigua with Lasell will use personal narratives / reflections to explore the true meaning of service learning and show the ways it can be beneficial. It will demonstrate not only what I (and my fellow classmates) took away from the experience of traveling to Antigua, but also what we left behind and the impact it made on locals.
